Re: JPEG -> 3200
Martin,
I tried to E-Mail you in reply to your earlier messages, but my
attempt bounced (ericsson.se doesn't know of any user called "etxmsl").

NO!!!! If you are going to post a whole lot of files, obey the
following rules:
1. Use BinSCII, not UUENCODE. BinSCII is the standard for encoding
Apple II files in an ASCII-only format.
2. Post them to comp.binaries.apple2, NOT to comp.sys.apple2.
comp.sys.apple2 is gated through mail servers and your postings will
make the volume balloon out to an unreasonable size. c.b.a2 is
intended for binaries postings, and c.s.a2 is intended for discussion.
3. Do not post _ANYTHING_ which may be considered as pornographic or
even "blue". Err on the side of caution here. Posting such pictures
to a group is liable to cause that group to be removed from access for
many people, particularly schools.
It could affect me directly: in New Zealand, the Usenet feed goes
through the Universities, and they do not pass on any groups
containing this type of material. If they found out that c.b.a2 was
being used for such purposes, it could be cut off.
There are existing newsgroups for this type of picture.
4. Keep the total volume in mind. Posting to Usenet go to thousands
of computers around the world, using up a vast amount of disk space
and transmission time, and it costs money in many places.
comp.binaries.apple2 is often in the top twenty newsgroups by volume,
and it worries me when a lot of data is posted there.
