Hmm...I know there's a ProDOS FS INIT for the Mac, but I don't know if
any others exist for that machine.  I don't think MS-DOG supports any
"foreign" filesystems, but OS/2 2.x supports FAT (MS-DOG) filesystems
as well as its own HPFS.  Linux comes a bit closer to the FST
concept...kernel configuration gives you the option of compiling in
support for any or all of four "native" filesystems (Minix, ext, ext2,
and xia) and five "foreign" filesystems (FAT, HPFS, ISO-9660, NFS, and
Coherent).  I can mount a FAT filesystem (on floppy or HD) and use it
as transparently as the stuff on the hard drive.
