Not that I know of. I have owned a IIgs for seven years, going on eight,
and its volume has been turned up all the way for all of those years. Of
course, I _DO_ turn it down when I don't want to bother anybody, but the
speaker seems just fine when it is up at its loudest setting. I don't
think there is any harm in having the speaker turned up all the way. (If
there were, I don't think Apple would have let you turn it up that loud).
By the way, ever try hooking the computer up to a stereo with both the
computer and stereo turned up all the way? :-)
