I've done it. Then I bought a small fan from Radio Shack and popped out the
old and popped in the new. May have been a wire to cut, but I don't remember
for sure. It was a pretty simple operation, at a cost of about $15. Don't
think there is anyway of tightening the fan mounts, which was why I bought 
a new fan. Got a stronger fan that way, also.
