Space in IIc for ZIP chip on ZRAM Ultra 3??

      ZIP CHIP: CAN IT FIT ON Z-RAM ULTRA 3 IN APPLE IIC?
      ---------------------------------------------------

I have five IIc computers.  Just swapped to get one with ZRAM Ultra 3
one meg ram board ---- using it right now.

I have an 8 meg ZIP CHIP working perfectly in a different IIc ---- but that
one has only 128K.

Is there enough spare room under the keyboard to install the ZIP Chip
on the ZRAM Ultra 3?  (The keyboard is the metal rimmed style keyboard ---
NOT the plastic braced :Atlanta Photocircuits: keyboard.

I want to ask the net on this question before pulling and reinstalling
that Zip Chip.

BTW, pins on the ZIP chip are slightly fatter than the stock 65c02 chip.
Will the socket clamp onto the 65c02 that will replace the ZIP, or will
the fat legs of the ZIP have widened the socket holes, making the 65c02
loose in its fit?

Any other complications in putting the ZIP on ZRAM Ultra 3?  Will it touch
the bottom of the keyboard?

BTW, I have unsubscribed to this list, but this act is not in disloyalty
to the II.  Instead, I will read all the memos but they are cataloged
on my college's "Usenet News," where I dont have to delete them.  They 
are arranged as discussion threads and they disappear automatically after 
two weeks.
