Is Davong (Hard Drives) still in business?
I have a Davong hard drive on a ][+, (soon on a ][e! :) and I was wondering
about a few things...
First, does anyone out there have one?! I seem to have the only one made!
Second, (if yes to first :) does anyone have ProDOS drivers for it? Mine
supports DOS 3.3, Pascal (UCSD P-system), and CP/M, but makes no mention
of ProDOS. (maybe it was made before ProDOS)
Third, are there DOS 3.3 drivers for SCSI drives? (I know, not Davong related)
The reason I ask, is I am *considering* reverse-engineering the controller
(if Davong is deceased) to allow others to use MFM drives (supercheap) on
their ][s. If you can use DOS 3.3 on a SCSI drive, it's not worth the time.
(this thing is nice! it even supports 4 drives!)
Thanks for any help!
Kevin
P.S. I was planning on bringing their address in, but I forgot (duhh), but
they are/were in California. (Santa Clara?)
