Hmmmmm. I assume you are using your non-GS to download, and that you are
able to transfer files easily with it, ok. At Grind,
(ground.isca.uiowa.edu) to my recollection, under the heading "useful
stuff" is a copy of binscii in executable format (binscii.exe) I assume
you download this in binary mode. You should then download the file
gshk.bsc. Run binscii on this and you should get an executable version of
GSHK (Shrink-it GS...you don't really need Shrinkit, not usually anyway).
Now, throughout binscii (I find it harder to use than GSCii+) and download
GSCII, again from the same folder. Now run it through GSHK! You should
now have an executable version of GSCii+..put this in you desk.accs folder
in you system folder. If you still want Shrink-it, simply go the same
folder at Grind and download it, and then run it through GSCII+! Piece of
cake! (This is a really convuluted way of doing this, but it's the best
way in terms of getting what works best on the GS.)
One last option. If you have a Mac, go to the folder "Mac" at grind.
Download Commbin. (You will need Stuffit Expander to use this). Commbin
is essentiall BINSCII for the Mac. SImply download GSHK or Shrink-it 3.4
and run it through Commbin, and you will get an exucutable program.
Hope that's enough fo now!
