ProTERM 3.x offers 38.4K support out-of-the-box for the GS's serial
ports.  I've used this setting for a null-modem link to my Linux box
without any problems.  There's also a macro that changes the 38.4K
entry to work at 57.6K instead, but I wasn't able to get that to work
(don't know if the problem was with ProTERM or with Linux's serial
driver, though).

Unless you're using a V.34 or V.FC modem, though, DTE rates above
19.2K are next to useless most of the time.  I can see using 38.4K for
a V.34 or V.FC modem, but I don't think I'd bother with trying to get
anything faster to work.  (Faster speeds would be nice for null-modem
links, though.)
