Usually, somewhere on the old non-DMA Apple SCSI cards, is a marking
indicating what hardware revision it is (rev A, B or C). I can't remember
exactly where this marking is located, having only owned a Rev 'A' for less
than a week, but it is there somewhere -- look carefully. As far as using the
old Apple SCSI cards with GS/OS, you _can_ use a revision 'A' or 'B' just fine,
so long as the ROM is upgraded to '341-0437-A' (which you already have). I had
System 6.0.1 running from an Apple 20SC HD, connected up to a Rev 'A' Apple
SCSI card. If your using an Apple 40SC, you may need to use the GS/OS SCSI
drivers from System 5.0.4. For some odd reason, System 6.0/6.0.1's SCSI
drivers will _not_ work with the Apple 20SC HD! Had to make a backup of
the Installer disk and swap the System 6 drivers with the old System 5.0.4
SCSI drivers. This worked just fine, aside from the fact a non-DMA SCSI card
and 89ms hardrive is almost as slow as a 3.5 floppy drive! ;-)

Not sure about this one. Doesn't the computer always have the
highest SCSI priority by default -- SCSI ID #7?

I don't think the old SCSI cards supplied termination, as it was,
I had an external terminator connector attached to the back of the hardrive.
The 50-pin SCSI cable then plugged into the back of it...
