        My premise in my first posting was smaller + simpler + optimized 
programs = faster. If you can get copies of the same program for the Mac 
and GS running on the same machine which would you expect to work faster? 
If the only difference between the programs is the graphics resolution  
and sound (assuming this was not a factor in choosing the program to 
start with) which would you choose? The options are a faster GS emulator 
(even if it runs GSOS) or a slower Mac emulator.

        Come to think of it, more people may start programming for the GS 
if side by side comparisons show it is faster. Some patches to Quickdraw 
may even allow access to the higher resolutions (which would make the 
programs non-standard).
