In Canada you are allowed three copies of your program
(regardless of what is said in the agreement). The first copy is your
original. The second is your backup/install copy. The third is your
working copy. This particular information is third or fourth hand
information.

I understand you are allowed to do what you need to do to get
your working copy installed. Since you own the program you are allowed to
modify a copy of the program to install it on your hard drive. The
program on the hard drive is considered your working copy.

Since your intent is not piracy, but the installation of one of
your three copies on different media you *should* be OK. The information
may be different where you are. As I said this information is third or
fourth hand. Also, I am not a lawyer. So, use the info at your own risk.
I could be wrong.
