I don't think the 25 pin connector vs. 50 pin connector makes that much 
of a difference....  I used a couple of Chinook drives for several years 
that had two 25 pin connectors on them.  They worked fine, and I was able 
to daisy-chain off of them without any trouble.  Instead of a 50 pin to 
50 pin cable to daisy chain the second drive, just use the cable that 
probably comes with the second drive intended to hook it up to a 25 pin 
scsi port on the computer.  The additional wires are all extra grounds, I 
think I read, so that each signal has its own ground instead of just 
using the one common ground in the 25 wire cable...?
