I hate to be the bearer of bad news...

My newsfeed is shaky at the moment, so I don't know if you already have heard
the bad news.

This is the official word on Avatar.

Bill Heineman has been working on the Avatar as much as possible, but the
rest of the computer industry made it impossible to launch the Avatar. The
original plans were to use a 65832 proccessor, but that proccessor was too
easily defeated by most other proccessors. I cannot remember details beyond
that until the last proccessor he was going to try.

The Panasonic 3D0 home entertainment system uses a microproccessor called an
ARM/6. And just what comes after 6? The ARM/7 microproccessor was to be used
in the Avatar, making it more powerful than ANY home system in use today.
(Personally I would have printed on the circuit board "Apple Computer Inc.
can kiss my a**.") There's only one problem. The computer industry moves VERY
fast. (See: The now-obsolete Apple Newton) Bill can't finish the computer in
short enough time for it to be non-obsolete by the time it's released. He
can't afford the new proccessors, either. (They're rather expensive.)

Please post this everywhere, and please drop it in your newsletters. People
have to know, so, you can use my work if you give me credit, or type it in
your own words. I personally hoped I would not be the one delivering this bad
news to the II world.
