Maybe there's something special about slot 6 that facilitates (sp?)
Disk II booting? For example, there is something special about slot 7
that allows a light pen I have to work only in that slot. If you put
it in another slot, you have to cut a trace on the II+ or IIe keyboard
(not work on a GS).
