No flames intended but...this sounds like the computer salesmen in my area,
they haven't the foggiest clue what an Apple II is, even though they are
Apple Dealers. But I think that this is kinda scary that people didn't
notice that these computers (ie the Apple II's) ever existed.

--now off of my soapbox--

I think that the Apple II's were the best computers made, they were extreemely
user friendly, and the fellow Apple II user was a special breed. Each one
loved (should I say loves???) their Apple II and go to the extreme to help
another user. For example I thought that the Apple II was dead...no new
software, and the software I saw in the computer store kept shrinking.
But once I got in touch with other apple II users through this newsgroup
I upgraded my Apple IIgs with new software and hardware..I left Prodos 16
in the dust and went directly to GS/OS (ie System 6.0 & now System 6.0.1).
I also have a hard drive and even got a ROM upgrade from ROM 00 to ROM 01!
This all hapened because of the users that reponded to my sometimes stupid
questions here in this newsgroups.

I will stay away from the hardware and software as well as the history of
the Apple II, just because there are many more people out here on the
net that can give a better account of what happend than I can. :)

The only stupid questions are the ones not asked! :)
