Bluedisk Question

I am about to buy a Bluedisk controller.  It looks like to be the best
price/performance way to use 1.44meg disks with my IIGS.  I have a question
or two first.  There's no way I can confidently send $140 to Germany
without knowing a thing to two about what I'm getting.

Does the controller have pins to accept any 1.44meg drive?  

Does the controller supply power to the drive, or do I have to connect
the drive to a controller *and* an external power supply?

Can someone send me some definite information/techincal stuff on the card
other than the "canned" response I got from the manufacturer?
