- Summary: Name and ftp site of Mac Apple ][ emulator
I apologize in advance for asking what must be
a far-too-common question, as I could not find a FAQ for this
group in .answers.
Could anyone tell me the name and ftp site for
a Mac Apple ][ emulator?
As what frequently happens, I ran into a post about
such a beast in another newsgroup, wrote the information down
on a scrap of paper...Then naturally threw it away the next day.
Since hearing about the existance of an Apple ][ emulator,
I've been getting a hard-on thinking about the possibility of
playing some of those old lo-res and high-res games...Nostalgia!
I also have a bunch of people drooling at the prospect
on my local BBS...Where we have worked ourselves into a frenzy trying
to figure out how to transfer Apple ][ tape and 5 1/2'' programs
onto the board. I suppose one of us will have to scavenge parts
to get a fully working, communicating Apple ][ networked and connected
to our BBS. Once this is done, what kind of problems might we expect
regarding the Apple ][ -> Mac file transfers, if any?
Finally...What are the legal aspects of making ancient
commerical Apple ][ software available? For example, I *believe*
I heard that BroderBund gave up on the Apple ][ game _Lode Runner_,
Does this make it essentially public domain?
Again, thanks for your input.
