AppleIIe drive on IIc?

An associate has an Apple IIc.  I have a mothballed early model IIe with two
floppy drives.  The second floppy drive is an aftermarket model that always
worked well.  My associate would like to connect this drive to his IIc as a
second drive.  Is this possible?  Is a special cable required?  (It's a 5.25
inch drive, BTW).  Thanks in advance for any tips.
