Never had a problem with Archiver, it's worked great, and it's blazingly
fast with my 1 meg RAMfast and 10MHz/64k cache Zip :)  Plus it takes
Finder forever to copy some of the Sparse files I have, which usually end
up in "Unable to allocate needed memory" errors, even with 4.5 meg free!
(yes, that's when I shift-boot, if I don't I only have 2.9 or so meg free)

Hardpressed automatically decompresses the file when it is copied to 
another disk or folder unless you tell it to do otherwise.

I can backup about 15 meg in 5 minutes to my flopticals using Archiver, I
still think that is easier... But to each his own :)
