...which is exactly why you're allowed to tell it to do otherwise.
Of course, if you're doing a volume backup, it doesn't matter.
Make sure you set HP to "inactive" when backing up or restoring with
Archiver. Not only does it make your backups smaller, it avoids a nasty
little glitch in Archiver that can make your files come out with the wrong
filetypes.
