Revisions refer to part numbers on the logic boards. 820-0064-A was the first
revision, which was not capable of displaying DHR graphics. It didn't last long
and was replaced by 820-0064-B which is the board referred to as the rev. B
board. This is the minimum revision to use for things like the VOC. There is
also a 820-0087-A board which is sometimes confused with the early rev. A board
but this one is the board which has the enhancement already installed. The
grey //e's have a newer revision than that which has only one ROM chip instead
of two like earlier revisions if I remember right. I never saw under the hood 
of a grey machine so I dunno what their part number is.

You find the part number along the back edge of the board behind the expansion
slots.
