Thanks to everyone who answered my call for help re: Apple2s.
I appreciate it!
One thing that became clear was the resounding "NO" that answered
my question, "Can I emulate a Apple2c with my 286 and thus create
apple2c-compatible diskettes on my PC?"
Okay, scrap that then. But what about this:
I have a Mac Plus. Actually it's a first generation Mac that's
been jimmied to act like a Plus. It has an external 3.5 disk drive.
Its internal drive is also 3.5 ..
Now, can the Mac's external 3.5 drive plug into the Apple2c, AND
IF IT CAN, can I create Apple2c-readable diskettes on a Mac running
system 5.1?
Once again any help would be greatly appreciated. I have discovered
that running a modem off the Apple2c in question is absolutely
impossible (long story) so the files will have to be downloaded
onto another computer or acquired on diskette.
I thought I knew computers... but I'm just a lame DOShead!!!
