I am experiencing problems with some of my software.
Fistly, I can not get the Advanced Disk Utilities (the one that comes with
system 6.0) to re-partition my hard drive. I have tried everything from
using a clean system 5.0.4, to using system 6.0.1, to turning of all inits
and DA's booting of 3.5 inch drive, booting off ram drive etc. I do not
know the problem, and help would be much appreciated.
Next, the other night, when using AWGS I went to save a file
(wordprocessor), and big pink letters started to appear on the screen. The
hard drive was continually active, and the save never finished.
eventually, I re-booted the machine. Alas, my files was gone. What is
wrong?
I eventually got my hard drive re-partitioned (using a friends RamFast
built in utilities) and put all my saftware and data back on. I then
de-fragmented my hard drive. But, when I copied folders and software from
a drive to the desk top, multiple copies were there (with same name, and
same stuff in the folders). When I deleted one, it deleted other
information in other folders. This worried me a little. Can anyone help?
The other mysterious thing with this is that the software in the
folders still worked...
My system is a GS Rom 01, 4.25Meg ram, Apple High Speed SCSI, Zip
10MHz/8k, Apple In Modem 300bps, 170Meg Hard Drive, 3.5' drive running
system 6.0.1 (if it helps at all).
Thanks
The Midge.
