First, of all, this thread has a stupid title.  It's not about Matt D.
fucking Andy M.  (I don't think.)

Secondly, except for those at apple.com who know Matt, Matt himself, and
the kids involved, the case is nobody's business.

None of us netters were there.  We don't know why, when, how, or why
whatever happened happened.  So Matt D. is gay.  So what.  I think he was
foolish in messing around with a kid, because of the law, whatever the
circumstances.  But how can we judge him?

Those who condemn him would be better occupied examining there own consciences.
If Dave Lyons says Matt D. is basically a good guy, I tend to lend credence to
that.  I certainly wouldn't want to be judged myself on the basis of an
article in a newpaper or on a newsgroup.

Certainly, it is difficult to imagine Matt's actions.  Not being gay, I can't
really visualize myself in a similar situation.  But how many of us straight
guys have been tempted by underage females?  What if they were willing?  If
they promised not to tell?

But really, as I've said, I really know nothing about the case, nor do any
of us, save for the few really involved.

Not being a Christian, I feel funny quoting Christ, but what he said about
throwing the first stone is still true.
