It could be that they didn't do it right and expect you to have a direct
connect printer in slot 1. I have a ROM 3 with Appletalk in slot 1 and an
Appletalk IW in addition to a ROM 01 with Appletalk in slot 7 so if I can
find someone with a copy of Print Shop I could try it out.

I have no troubles printing but then I stay away from crappily written
software as a rule. Broderbund is/was/whatever a scumbag company in my
opinion.
