StyleWriter I & II ink cartridge question

Basically, I want to know what the difference is between the StyleWriter
and StyleWriter II ink jet cartridges.  Can either machine use either
cartridge? Also, I know that the Canon BC-01 and 02 cartridges can be used
in the StyleWriters, but I heard that by using a Cannon cartridge, it will
void the StyleWriter's warranty - any truth to that?
