My WOZ ROM 1 battery went dead about 5 years ago. I replaced it at the time with a 2 AA cell holder and some wire. Recently I replaced THAT with a home- made slip on lithium cell. My mother's ROM one is less than two years younger than mine, and on the original battery. My wife's ROM 1, purchased less than 2 years ago from Sun, in its original unopened packaging, is on its first battery, also. Chris
