Try deleting your desktop file. And also delete any icon files you don't
use anymore.

Are you using PointLess 2.0 or higher? If so, BeagleWrite doesn't like it
when you change the TrueType fonts to Bold or Italic in the font menu. But
you can STILL select fonts from the "Choose Font" menu option.
