ProTerm 1.3 - HELP!!!
Howdy!
Thanks to the help of a fellow c.s.a2 person, I now have ProTerm 1.3 up and
running again. But I have some minor problems, and I'm looking for solutions.
I'm running an unenhanced ][e, 128k.
1. When I run at 2400 baud, I lose characters, even though ProTerm has its own
screen software (it's not the ][e causing the problem). Is this normal? Am I
doomed to a life of 1200 baud communication? Note this is while reading text,
and otherwise communicating with my host.
2. While reading Usenet, periodically the last line or two of a post (while
running at 1200 baud) will turn to garbage. Unfortunately, the garbage always
appears in the same place, at the end of a screenload of text...so I end up
missing out on some stuff. Apart from protocol-transferring all of the data to
my computer and reading it off-line (yech!) is there a solution? Can I,
perhaps, shut down the scrollback buffer?
3. When using the Unix FSE program on my host, I cannot use my down arrow key.
Using it, say to move my cursor down below the header lines while writing
posts, just causes everything to scroll down. This is using VT-52 emulation
(which, it turns out, IS supported by my host), and it works fine from the
Lisa. Just not from the ][e--which I would really prefer to use since it
doesn't have that whining ProFile hard drive...
Any suggestions/ideas?
