In case you've been under a rock and haven't been keeping up with
comp.binaries.apple2, Binpost is a shell script that automates the
transmission of binary files over Usenet. By using Binpost, you are
encouraged to submit descriptions (hint hint, Daniel Pf.) and the
script will do the rest. Subject lines are serialized, Binscii
segments are threaded together and checksums are generated. Followups
are typically set to comp.sys.apple2 in an effort to keep the number of
non-binaries postings down. Brief decoding instructions are included
with every file, again to minimize "How do I use this file?" messages.

Future versions will include the ability to automatically e-mail
multi-part Binscii files and automatically repost corrupted segments.
