                APPLE MONITOR IIC:  DOESN'T LIGHT UP

       Having developed a reputation locally as a home for orphaned Apple IIs,
I have been given (free) a Monitor IIc.  This is the cute 9" green screen
monitor, white modern casing style, mounted on a bent metal bracket.

       The monitor is externally perfect; not even a scratch.  But it does
not powerup or respond at all.

       Is there a fuse inside?  Is there anythingI can test safely by opening
the casing?

If the monitor is totally dead and unfixable, can I safely remove the
plastic casing to install the innards of a monitor IIc that has a beat-up
casing?
