- Summary: problem with /main partition
I am having a problem with my hard drive.
Recently, I had a block conflict and had to fix the disk. If I remember
correctly, it was a "block in use" for block 227.
On my oobt partition, a couple of directories were lost and my /main/utilities
directory was basicall turned inside out (ie, all of the files suddenly
appeared in the root directory).
I repaired the disk except now it seems that the disk /main has the
permissions set so that I can't access the drive. I can boot the system
and can run normally but when I go into the finder (and a few other
programs) the main partition shows up as shaded and I can't get a file listing.
Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this problem? It is pretty annoying.
My system is:
Apple IIGS with 4 MB RAM
RAMFast with v3.01 (?) roms (256K)
Quantum P105S
Transwarp GS
the drive is partitioned into 4 partitions:
/main
/games.n.music
/modem.n.misc
/wp.dp.n.art
Only the main partition is affected.
any help is greatly appreciated
