Help! Need replacement GS monitor info

I think this may have been a topic of discussion recently, but it's aged
off our system, and I didn't need to know this at the time.

My IIGS AppleColor RGB monitor died. The power supply board burned
(charred, at least), and it seems it took the video board with it. A local
Apple service center wants $393 to fix it (including tax), and even they
admit the price is a bit steep.

Since I don't really want to give up on the IIGS just yet, I'm looking for
the most economical alternative. I will check the local used computer
store (perhaps today or tomorrow), but I'm also curious whether there is a
currently made RGB monitor that will work on a IIGS. (I'm using a
Commodore 1702 as a composite monitor today; that's not exactly ideal.)

Does anyone know of any good alternatives? That could include current
production monitors or good, reputable sources of rebuilt, warrantied
AppleColor RGB monitors.

I appreciate any help. To save bandwidth (and to get me an answer faster :-),
send me mail; I'll post a summary if anyone is interested (perhaps it
belongs in the FAQ.

Thanks,

Bill
