Thy Chean:
I doubt that Singapore's "Standard of Living" is lower than the US, or
any other post/industrial nations. I think you meant the "cost of living"
is lower/cheaper than the US ;) Singapore, after all, IS the cleanest
country in the world, and one of the most crime-free society (of course,
it is also more authoritarian, but that's the price you pay, I guess.)
A lot of newly-industrialized and third-world countries are trying to
emulate Singapore; in fact, I've read that a lot of city planners consider
Singapore's cities to be model cities (I should test this on SimCity 2000 :)
Anyway, I've gone off the TurboRez thread; but you are far too modest in
your opinion of Singapore :)
Trying to tie it back to a GS-like thread:
I read and re-read your post on TurboRez (640x400x256) and my response.
You are right, I should have compared the same rez with the same rez
(that'll teach me not to post after 2AM, after a long night of paper
writing, heh).
[software support potential fo the TurboRez deleted.]
