This is something on my to-do list. I have a spare SSC card and by replacing
the ROM with an EPROM with a Smartport interface to the serial line I could
have it reading blocks from another machine. As far as I have worked it out,
the server would need to be running a fileserver application while the client
could just use the driver on the card.
