I have exactly that same setup so here's how my SSC is set up:
o Block points to Modem.
o Switches: dddduuu uuuudud
I use ProTERM 3.0 and have no problems sending or receiving. I would
recommend that you get ProTERM even if you're just trying to use your
Apple IIe as a terminal to the school computer. I found it well worth
the price when I was in school.
