Advanced Resource editors

Does anyone know what the 'state of play' is regarding the more advanced
Resource Editors for the GS? Not rEdit, reslin, or ones like them -
they're too basic for my taste. If I have to go that far down, I'd just
as soon hand-edit a REZ file.

DesignMaster is so-so - it doesn't have some of the more recent types of
controls, such as thermometers and TextEdit controls, and from what the
ByteWorks tell me, there aren't any plans to produce an upgrade.

SSSi appears to have died, and GeneSys with them - the version I have is
1.2.4. Does anyone have a later version, and what are the
differences/improvements? Is it still sold by anyone, and if so, who? Or
is there any way that I could obtain a legitimate copy? For money, I
mean, and with docs. Preferably with the money going to the
owners/authors of the program, but failing that, does anyone have a
'proper' (masters, docs, et al) copy for sale?

I tried to order a copy of Foundation from Resource Central, but they
told me that they were no longer stocking it, because the author had
stopped supporting it. I've sent both email and snail-mail to the address
listed in the Beta-version that I found in grind, but I've had no reply.
Does anyone know how to contact the authors, or where/how I can get a
legitimate copy of the program? Same comments as above.

These are valuable programs, and it would be a pity to 'lose' them
forever. Isn't there some way that we could keep them alive? Surely one
of the remaining software houses could take either (or both) of these
major programs on?
