In the IIe, you have 4 ROMs: two 2764s that hold BASIC, the monitor,
the mini-assembler, and the 80-columm video routines (UE8 covers
$C100-$DFFF and UE10 covers $E000-$FFFF), a 2732 that serves as the
character generator (UF4), and a 2716 that is used as part of the
keyboard decoder (UE12).

(I've thought once or twice about making "backups" of all the ROMs in
my system--the ROMs on the motherboard and several EPROMs (which would
be more vulnerable to data loss) on various interface boards.  Given
the future scarcity of replacement parts, obtaining extras for custom
logic might not be a bad idea either.  For a II Plus, as far as I
know, only the ROMs are custom parts.  In the IIe, the MMU and IOU are
custom parts.  As for the IIGS...since that system uses lots of custom
surface-mount logic, probably the best insurance would be a spare
motherboard.)
