Wait a moment!!!!! You don't have to toss out the Apple IIe to get to
WordPerfect.. There are versions that will run on either a IIe or a GS.
It will also work directly from your 5.25 disks..

Hope this solves your problem, and shows you at the same time that the 
IIe can handle the same job that you thought you needed another computer
to do..
