Check old issues of A+ (or was it inCider) magazine. One of the two
(before the merger) had instructions on how to build a simple sampler
using a Radio Shack intercom. Not all parts are available at Radio
Shack, and I couldn't find the molex connecter I needed, so I've never
tested it. The issue also had a music program in BASIC (and some
assembly) that could get 32 voices simultaneously (with a little
rewriting) but only one waveform.
