Upgrading Apple ][ GS system

Can anyone provide information about upgrading the Apple ][ GS system.

I've seen discussion about "system disks" containing a new system, GS/OS.

Can anybody provide information on how to go about obtaining the system
upgrades, and what the costs/benefits may be?

I've got an old GS with the original OS, never updated, and am thinking
about upgrading and/or replacing it.

Any information would be appreciated.
