Those of us who have installed the patch were aware of the problems it might
cause. If some program crashes because of it, I won't blame the program. I
feel the benefits outweigh the disadvantages (none of which I have
encountered yet!)

The alternative to patching an existing file system is writing a new and
better one (better than ProDOS, better than HFS), something I would gladly
do if I knew how! But since I don't...
