Thanks for the info! (Re: Anyone remember Sundog?)

Thanks to the many, many people who replied to my query :)

Here is what I have been told: the game was apparently made by the FTL
Games division of Software Haven, Inc.  The game is still available for the
Atari ST and the Apple II, but not for any other platforms.  However,
Origin makes a game called "Wing Commander Privateer", which follows the
exact same story line, but is a more advanced version and is apparently
available for the IBM PC.
