HELP REQUEST: Mac/GS HD compatibility

I'm not a regular reader of this newsgroup, but I've just acquired the
40-meg hard drive (Apple 40SC) from a friend's Mac LC.  Does anyone
know if it can be adapted for use on my IIGS?  I don't have a SCSI
card, but I'd be willing to buy one to make this work out.

It's an internal drive, so I'd appreciate comments on whether I
can mount it inside the case or, if not, how best to encase it for
use as an external drive.

Email would probably be best, but I'll hang around this group for
a while in case someone posts.  Thanks in advance for any help
(and sorry if someone's asked something like this recently)!
