Nope.  The DuoDisk should work fine in the IIe or II+.  On the IIc,
you'll only be able to access the first drive (and the IIc will treat
it as drive 2).

Some DuoDisks have problems with a IIgs.  According to the February
1987 issue of Open-Apple (the predecessor of A2-Central), at least one
revision of the DuoDisk doesn't work on the IIgs because "it has one
too many resistors to work correctly on a IIgs SmartPort daisy chain".

There is apparently a simple modification which can be made to fix
this, supposedly documented on AppleLink (at least, it was seven years
ago!)

I can't see anything in the technical notes, or in later issues of
A2-Central.
