Some people suggested that it was your motherboard at fault.  It could
also be that your sound board isn't filtering out the noise in the ROM
01's audio output.  I have a ROM 01 with a SoundMeister and don't have
noise problems unless the speakers are cranked up almost all the way
(which is much louder than they should be :-) ).
