*hihihi* It must be this time of year again, the questions get funnier and
funnier by the week :) Sorry, no offense meant.
MPEG, unlike DL, compresses the data quite effectively. It is possible
to have an MPEG viewer purely in software on machines like a 486-66,
although you do not get the best possible quality that way.
Does that answer your question? :) No, there is no MPEG viewer, and because
of lack of speed on the GS part, you cannot write one that really
let's you view a movie ... you could get a series of still pictures,
though.
Hardware for MPEG (de)compression for the GS could be done ... but that's
a bit ridiculous, really (and you would have the problem with the
slow bus again).
