Jawaid, you mean you do something besides program the GS? :)

The DigitalSessions software by Econ Technologies also has an
option where you can input a frequency to be output...  I guess
you could save the necessary tones to disk as sound files and
play them whenever you need a quick "tune" (being sure they're
played back correctly by whatever program).

Come to think of it, the software that came with Applied's Phasor
card could also generate various tones (though you couldn't 
control frequency down to the hertz).  I plugged it into one of
my school's GSes (one of those 512k, 1 3.5, "highschool specials
that are just used as fast //es) and to an oscilloscope for
physics class...
