Lack of attention on your part.  Read the ZIP manual.  It clearly
states in there that the IIgs will fail this self-test if the ZIP IIgs
is enabled.

If you want to run the self-test, you have to disable the ZIP first
(turn off switch 1-6 before powering up the computer, or use the ZIP
utilities to disable the ZIP).

The test indicates that the IIgs speed is wrong.  It doesn't know about
accelerators.
