restoring disk images to diskette

I ftp'd some files (from ftp.uni-kl.de) that are "disk images."
They were compressed, and when uncompressed, are 143,360 bytes long --
the size of a 35 track 5.25" disk. What utility can I use to restore
these as disks? I have CopyIIPlus, but using the DISK COPY command
tells me that there is a DEVICE SIZE MISMATCH. (???)
